A snack full of vitamins perfect for those suffering from summer fatigue!
Pumpkins are rich in vitamins and plenty of carbohydrates to help recover your fatigued body. Bacon also contains high levels of vitamin B1, known as the “energy vitamin,” and is involved in sugar and alcohol metabolism. The garlic butter and soy sauce add a punch of flavor to the ingredients, making this a snack perfect with a glass of sake!
This dish pairs well with a variety of different sake, including sake with a fruity flavor, light and smooth types of sake, and sake with a deep and rich flavor!
200g of pumpkin |
60g of thickly sliced bacon |
20g of butter |
1 teaspoon of grated garlic |
2 teaspoons of soy sauce |
Step 1:
Cut the pumpkin into wedges, 7mm thick, and bacon into 1cm pieces.
Step 2:
Put butter, grated garlic, and pumpkin in a frying pan and steam with the lid closed. When the pumpkin is cooked through, pour soy sauce over it to coat it with the seasoning, and then serve.
Tip: Both thick and thin slices of bacon will work with this recipe!
