We sincerely appreciate your ongoing support for the Japanese sake and shochu industry. As you know, the Hokuriku area suffered serious damage from the earthquake and tsunami on January 1, 2024. The extent of the damage is described in the Appendix to this document.
The Japan Sake and Shochu Makers Association is now accepting donations for the breweries affected by the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake.

Q: How will this donation be utilized? A: The received donations will be distributed to our members (breweries) affected by the disaster, through the respective prefectural sake makers’ associations. Considering the extensive damage, the distribution will be decided based on the extent and type of damage, and the amount allocated will be determined by the Board of Directors of the Japan Sake and Shochu Makers Association.

The Noto district is famous as the home base of our Toji (Brewmaster) and Kurabito (brewery workers). They and their families are all safe, but houses suffered serious damage from the earthquake and tsunami.
