Cooking with Sake: Affogato and Sake

Let’s make your regular ice cream extra fancy!
Affogato is an Italian dessert consisting of vanilla ice cream topped with a beverage. In Japan, the popular style of affogato is topped with espresso coffee in which you enjoy its aroma and bitter taste. For an additional accent, you can use Japanese sake to enhance the flavor and aroma! Enjoy a delicious dessert while you savor the complex flavor of sake!

Ingredients (2 servings)

1 cup of Japanese sake (1/2 for Nikirizake)
1 teaspoon of chocolate syrup
1 teaspoon of maple syrup
200ml of vanilla ice cream

How to Make: Steps

Step 1:
Pour sake into a pan and boil until it reduces by half. Then add chocolate syrup and maple syrup and mix it well.

Step 2:
Put the vanilla ice cream on a plate and pour (Step 1) over it.
