Introduction

Founded in 1923, this brewery is located in Yonezawa, a historic castle town associated with the Uesugi clan. Leveraging the frigid winters of snowy Yonezawa, the brewery adheres to the traditional methods of cold-season brewing, with meticulous attention to every detail. From washing the rice by hand to labeling the bottles, every step of the sake-making process is carried out with care and craftsmanship by skilled artisans.

Patiently enduring the harsh winter while dreaming of the warmth of spring, their signature sake, Kobai, evokes the fragrant and elegant bloom of plum blossoms that herald the season’s arrival. With its crisp and refreshing flavor, this sake is truly a masterpiece that could only be crafted in the snowy region of Yonezawa.
