Introduction

Founded in 1871, the brewery has a 152-year history. The brand name was originally "Shiki no tomo (friend of the four seasons)", but was named after the poem "Tsuki Yuki no tomo wa nai nai shikisakura (friend of Tsuki Yuki is no other than Shikisakura)" written by the founder of the company. Shikisakura, made with sake rice from the Yanagida Sake Rice Research Association and brewed with water from the clear Kinugawa River, is characterized by its rich aroma, gentle taste, crispness, and subtle sweetness.
Shikisakura is brewed under the motto, "Even a small cup of sake has infinite flavor if the brewer puts his heart into it.
