Founded in 1831. Founded by Yohei Sagara, who searched for the ideal water for sake brewing. The brewery is located in a natural setting surrounded by lush green mountains and rice paddies. The brewery uses the subsoil water from the Nikko mountain range that gushes out on the premises as its brewing water, which is characterized by its soft and clear texture that even has a sweet taste.
The brewery cherishes the characteristics of this water, which the founder fell in love with, and uses Tochigi rice and Tochigi yeast to make Tochigi's local sake, as well as studying brewing techniques and brewing sake with love and care.
Sales: Weekdays 9:00-16:00, Tasting: Not available,
