Since 1875, when Tsuki and Toshizo Shichida transitioned from flour milling and noodle-making to sake brewing, the brewery has continued its journey and will celebrate its 150th anniversary in 2025.

Guided by the philosophy of "Fueki Ryuko" (continuity and change), the brewery cherishes the enduring values ("Fueki") of its tradition—maximizing the blessings of the natural environment of Ogi to produce sake of uncompromising quality. At the same time, embracing the principle of "Ryuko" (change), it remains committed to fearless and innovative challenges that align with the evolving times.
