Kameda Township is located almost in the center of Niigata City. The dune land surrounded by the Agano River, the Shinano River, and the Little Agano River that connects the two is the home of Koshino Kanbai.Kameda Township is blessed with an abundance of good water from the Agano River and winter snows that create a low-temperature environment, making it truly an ideal location for sake brewing. At Kameda-go, where is also famous for plum blossoms, enduring the cold, this plum blossom, which gives off a dignified beauty, is the origin of the name Koshino Kanbai.
Ishimoto Shuzo continues to brew Koshino kanbai here today.
Brewery tours and tastings are not available.
