Founded in 1660. For over 360 years, we have been crafting sake under the names Mimurosugi in Miwa, Nara—a land revered as the home of the god of sake.
Nestled at the foot of Japan’s oldest shrine, Ōmiwa Shrine, a place worshiped since ancient times as the abode of the "god of sake" and the "deity of brewing," we dedicate ourselves to the art of sake brewing.
Our brewing water comes from a well within the brewery, sourced from the sacred spring water of Mount Miwa, the shrine’s deity. The rice we use is cultivated by contract farmers along the same water vein as our brewing water, ensuring a harmonious connection between the land and the sake.
We are honored and proud to brew sake in one of the world’s most extraordinary spiritual homes for sake. With this in mind, we remain committed to crafting sake that embodies the essence of Miwa.
