Along the Koshu Kaido in Suwa City, Nagano Prefecture, there is a stretch of just 500 meters where five sake breweries stand side by side.
While all five breweries use the same spring water from Kirigamine as their brewing water, each has developed its own distinctive and unique sake, earning them the collective name Suwa Gokura (The Five Breweries of Suwa).
One of these breweries, Maihime, began brewing sake in Suwa in 1894. Since then, we have embraced the motto "Visible Faces, Visible Brewing," combining tradition and innovation in our sake-making.
We invite you to experience the dedication and craftsmanship that goes into every bottle of Maihime sake.
