This shochu brewery is located in Kirishima City, Kagoshima Prefecture, and makes potato shochu with locally grown sweet potatoes and water from the Kirishima mountain range.Its representative brand is "Satsuma Kokubu". They are also engaged in shochu making with unique characteristics, such as "Imo Koji Imo", the industry's first 100% sweet potato shochu made with sweet potato koji, "Tsurunashigenji", a shochu made by reviving sweet potatoes that that was on the verge of extinction, "Yasuda" and "Flamingo Orange", both of which have a fruity aroma.A chief Sake Maker Nobuhisa Yasuda received an award from the Minister of Health, Labor, and Welfare as a "Contemporary Master Craftsman" in 2017.
