Shinsen's sake brewery, founded in 1860, was designated as a nationally registered tangible cultural property in 2009, and in 2017 was recognized as a component of the Japanese Heritage of Komatsu City's stone culture, "The Story of Walking with Pearl".The brewery's motto is to ensure that all elements involved in sake brewing are produced in Ishikawa Prefecture, and water, which is important for sake brewing, is sourced from underground water in the Hakusan Mountains and brewed with local sake rice and local yeast. Our goal is to create sake that is uniquely Ishikawa's local sake.
This tour allows you to explore a sake brewery with over 160 years of history, including the stone warehouses designated as Registered Tangible Cultural Properties and the brewing process using the divine spring water, with explanations provided by the brewery staff. After the tour, tastings and retail sales are available at the shop (fee applies).
・Estimated Tour Time
The brewery tour takes approximately 30 minutes, followed by the tasting and retail sales, making a total of about 50 minutes.
