Located in the northernmost part of Ibaraki Prefecture, in the Satomi district of Hitachiota City (formerly Satomi Village), Isaka Shuzouten was founded in 1818, during the late Edo period (Bunsei 1). The brewery began producing sake using the rich water and high-quality rice from the fertile Satomi region, where agriculture and forestry were thriving.
Believing that "sake is a refreshing tonic for the soul and a means of creating harmonious relationships, where people pour for each other," the brewery focuses on crafting sake that is enjoyed by people of all ages, with the motto of producing "delicious sake that everyone can enjoy."
