Founded in 1751, the sake brewery making "Fukuju" has been dedicated to handcrafted sake production for 13 generations in Mikage-go.
"Fukuju Junmai Ginjo" has gained worldwide recognition, having been served at official Nobel Prize events. In recent years, the brewery has embraced the United Nations' SDGs, implementing "sustainable sake brewing" practices. These efforts have been internationally acclaimed, earning the brewery an award from an environmental organization overseas.
The brewery's grounds feature four integrated facilities: the brewing hall "Fukuju-Gura," the retail shop "Tomei-Gura," the brewery restaurant "Sakabayashi," and the event space "Shushinkan Hall." Visitors can also enjoy a Japanese garden that showcases seasonal flowers, making it a highly recommended destination for guests from around the globe.
