Introduction

Tatsuma Etsuzo founded Hakutaka in 1862 at the present location in Nishinomiya.Using miyamizu which is water from eight wells owned by the company as brewing water, Hakutaka has inherited the traditional technique of Nada-shu, or Nada sake, and has maintained a 100% home-brewed brand without blending even a drop of sake from other makers since its establishment.
Since 1924 (Taisho 13), it has been the only sake brewery in Japan to be selected as the Imperial Sake of Ise Jingu Shrine, and has been offered to the deities of the shrine without fail every single day since then.
