Eigashima Sake Brewery is located in Akashi City, Hyogo Prefecture, overlooking the Seto Inland Sea.Founded in 1888 with the support of five breweries in the area, the brewery has since pursued forward-thinking initiatives, such as being the first in Japan to sell sake in one square bottle, exporting to Hawaii in 1899, and obtaining a license to produce whiskey and other Western-style liquors in 1919.
Currently, we have adopted the "mizu-hashiroshi brewing" method, a reproduction of Muromachi Period sake brewing, and are constantly researching to deliver sake that will remain in the hearts of those who drink it.
In addition to representative brand "Kamitaka," the limited edition "Yamatodamashii" is a unique sake that is gaining more and more fans.
Tours: Held irregularly (about once a week, by appointment only)You can visit the sake brewery and the whiskey distillery.
