Founded in 1868 (Meiji 1), our brewery has been crafting sake for generations in the picturesque town of Yaotsu, surrounded by beautiful mountains.
Located in an area once known as "Tamai," named after the old "Tamanoi" well, we use water drawn from this soft-water well. The resulting sake is gentle, with a smooth and pleasant mouthfeel.
With a short brewing season limited to the winter months, we produce all of our sake by hand. Our ideal is to craft sake that is smooth, enjoyable, and easy to drink—sake that stands apart from conventional notions of sweet or dry, light or full-bodied, but is instead a companion for the long term.
Brewery tours and tastings inside the facility are not available.
