Introduction

Founded in 1894, our brewery crafts local sake under the Nagaragawa brand, named after the pristine waters of the Nagara River, home to the traditional cormorant fishing. Situated at the base of a mountain dedicated to Ryujin, the water deity, our brewery uses pure spring water from underground streams and contract-grown sake rice. The sake is brewed with traditional techniques that draw out the rich umami of the rice, resulting in a mild, comforting flavor with a clean finish, thanks to the soft water.

We are also known as a brewery that "brews sake with music," creating a harmonious environment during production. Our sake has earned high praise, with numerous awards including consecutive gold medals at international competitions such as the IWC. Currently, we export to five countries worldwide, where our sake is highly regarded for its quality.
