With over 200 years of history, our brewery was founded in the late Edo period. Under the brand name Sansha, it produces and sells Japanese sake. Using the harsh winter climate of the Hida region to its advantage, the brewery employs the traditional Hida-style brewing during the coldest winter months to craft its sake.
While preserving its time-honored traditions, the brewery also explores innovation by using flower yeast, a natural sake yeast cultured from flower nectar, to create new styles of sake.
At the directly managed store, visitors can purchase the full range of its sake, along with unique souvenirs such as sake-infused cheesecakes, sake manju, and delicacies. The adjoining café corner offers treats like amazake and Hida beef buns for a delightful experience.
