Introduction

In the 3rd year of Kyoho (1718) during the reign of the eighth shogun, Prince Tokugawa Yoshimune, in a corner of the outer moat gate of Tsuruga Castle, Izutsuya Kuemon established a sake brewing business and named the sake "Tenshoshu". Later, in the role of Boshin (1869), which is famous for the White Tiger Corps, Izutsuya was also burned down in the war. While everyone was overwhelmed by grief, Izutsuya quickly rebuilt the brewery and changed the name of the sake to "Hanaharu" after the Chinese poem "Hanahahiraku-shukoku-no-haru", "to restore the brightness of flowers and the harmony of spring" to the heart. For more than 300 years since its founding, with the catchphrase "The goodness of Aizu is the goodness of sake", we are stubbornly and earnestly working sake brewing.
