Since the founding of Wakatakeya by its first-generation, Denbei, over 320 years ago, we have carried forward his passion for sake brewing, honing our craft and building upon this rich history. Born in the land known as "Tanoshimaru," meaning "born in joy," our sake has been cherished for easing sorrow and anger while doubling happiness. It is a sake that nurtures the energy needed for tomorrow, a local brew that has lived alongside the joys and sorrows of the people of this region.
