Introduction

When began the history of Takashimizu in 1944, this brewer borned 12 breweries joined forces to create the company.Akita is one of the best rice-producing regions in Japan and is blessed with clean underground water.In this region, Takashimizu has been loved as "usual sake".The head brewery stubbornly maintains the traditional flavor of Takashimizu, while the Goshono brewery continues to take on new challenges while upholding tradition.Each brewery has its own chief sake maker, who has mastered the traditional Akita-style technique of long-term low-temperature fermentation.

Visiting/Tasting

Sake brewery tours are available on weekdays at 10:30/13:30 and in two session per day by advance reservation.Available for 1 to 40 people.There is no charge for the tour and tasting.For reservations, please call or use the inquiry form on the website.
