Introduction

Founded in October of Bunka 2 (1805), the brewery bears the distinguished name "Kamisugi", bestowed by the Ōmiwa Shrine (Miwa Shrine) in Sakurai City, Nara Prefecture, which the seventh-generation Sugimoto Shobei deeply revered as the guardian deity of brewing.

Kamisugi is crafted using abundant, high-quality underground water and locally grown premium sake rice varieties, Wakamizu and Yumeginka, from Anjo. These ingredients are polished and brewed with traditional techniques, resulting in exceptional sake year after year.

Since its founding, the brewery has remained dedicated to the pursuit of unparalleled sake-making, striving daily to create sake that is truly one of a kind.
