A sake brewery founded in 1847 during the Edo period, located in Hachiei-cho, Kyotango City, northern Kyoto Prefecture.After closing down during the war, four local sake breweries joined forces to form Takeno Sake Brewery Co.,.Known for its brand name "Yasakatsuru", the company cooperates with local rice farmers to produce and sell sake made from locally grown rice.The company focuses on brewing sake that matches the characteristics of the rice and the quality of fresh sake, and continues to create unique sake that is not bound by conventional methods, including the development of a special sake that incorporates an unprecedented production method by Yoshiki Yukimachi chief sake maker.
