Founded in 1719 in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture, this sake brewery has a 300-year history. In July 2023, the sake brewery will be relocated to the foot of Mt. Iwaki in order to maximize the brewing techniques of the chief sake maker and brewers, who have won gold medals in the junmai category of various competitions, even though the brewery is aging.
With the relocation, a new brand ""Torai"" was launched and the brewery was re-launched as a junmai brewery. The brewery's concept is to brew sake in three seasons with a small amount of sake brewing, sparing no effort and focusing on quality.
We offer free tastings of six different types of sake at our direct sales shop attached to the brewery.
You can also enjoy real-time updates on the brewery on our in-store monitor.
(Open 10:00 am - 3:00 pm / closed Sundays and holidays)
