Founded in 1706. Oguni's sake rice is grown in an area rich in nature. Oguni Town is one of the heaviest snowfall areas in Japan, with snowfall ranging from 3 meters in the center of town to 5 meters in the mountains in winter.Because of this, Oguni Town has abundant water resources, and sake rice grown in the melted snow at the foot of the Iide Mountains has a different taste. Please try "Oguni Sakuragawa" made with sake rice grown with mineral-rich water.
After registering at the sake brewery cafe "Kamosuk", visitors can watch a video on how sake is made and then take a guided tour of the brewery at the adjacent Sakuragawa Sake Brewery. This tour requires a reservation on the web at least 5 working days in advance.
