Founded in 1681, this long-established sake brewery boasts a history of over 300 years in Saku City, Nagano Prefecture. Saku City is an ideal place for sake brewing, with temperatures often falling to minus 10 degrees Celsius in winter. The brewery uses locally harvested Miyamanishiki and natural subsoil water from Mt.Asama, one of Japan's 100 most famous mountains, to make its sake. Representative brands are "Chikuma-Nishiki", "Yoshidaya-Haruisuke" and "Kizan".
