The brewer of HOKUSHINRYU HONYOSHINOGAWA sake. Located in the north of Nagano Prefecture, it is close to the Shiga Kogen Plateau, famous for its snow monkeys, and Iwashoin Temple, famous for Katsushika Hokusai's Phoenix painting, and attracts tourists throughout the year. The current head of the brewery is the 14th generation and has been brewing sake for over 200 years.
Open year-round (closed only on New Year's Day) from 9:00 to 17:00.Sake brewery tours are available except during the brewing period (April to November).Tours and tastings are 300 yen per person (tax included).Up to 20 people can be guided at one time. If more than 20 people visit, they will be guided in turns. Tours last 20 to 30 minutes. Products can also be purchased.
