- Living with the Town of Kesennuma and Nurturing a New History and Culture -
Otokoyama Honten was founded in 1912 in Kesennuma, Miyagi Prefecture, one of the leading port towns in Japan. Since then, we have continued to carve out a history of more than 100 years of sake brewing in this area blessed with beautiful nature and an abundance of foodstuffs. We will continue to brew sake like the scenery of this town, where the sea and sky are tinged with azure blue.
(Representative brands: Soutenden, Kesennuma Otokoyama, Biroku)
Tastings are free of charge at the Uomachi store (9:30-17:00 *Closed on Tuesdays).
Sake brewery tours are also available (advance reservations required; about 1 hour required; see website for details)."
