If you’re busy but looking for some comfort food, brownies are the perfect choice for you! It’s easy to make, and who doesn’t like brownies?!

Even though it is common to make brownies with brandy, some might find the aroma too strong. This recipe, therefore, uses Japanese sake to replace brandy. The moisture-retaining capacity of sake helps the brownies to have a moist texture, provides a subtly delicious aroma. Baking the brownies evaporates the alcohol, so even children can enjoy this tasty dessert.

Ingredients (2 Servings *The picture shows 1 serving)

(A) 25g of flour

┗ 5g of cocoa powder

┗ 1g of baking powder

40g of milk chocolate

1 egg

20g of unsalted butter

1 teaspoon of sake

25g of granulated sugar

1/2 tablespoon of milk

15g of walnuts

How to Make: Steps

Step 1:
Bake walnuts at 170℃ for 10 minutes, then chop them into small pieces.
Sift (A) altogether.

Step 2:
Place the chocolate, butter, and sake in a bowl, and warm in hot water to let the ingredients melt.

Step 3:
Place the egg, granulated sugar, and milk (warmed) in another bowl and whisk well.
