In 1912, Moritaro Fukui, the founder of Fukui Syuzo, took possession of the site of the Toda family's camp on the Atsumi Peninsula in Fukue (now Tahara City), Ogaki-Shinden domain in the Mikawa region, and began brewing sake using a well with the Toda family crest.
